The academic assistance program is proud to announce that the roster of successful scholarship applicants for 2020 has been finalized.
HENDERSON, NV / ACCESSWIRE / October 22, 2020 / After much careful deliberation, the Stephen Odzer Scholarship Program has decided upon this year's recipients of its annual financial prizes. An endowment worth one thousand dollars will be bestowed upon twenty worthy post-secondary applicants nationwide.
The purpose of these scholarships is to help under-advantaged college and university students of all ages and backgrounds get one step closer to paying for their degree. High school students are also eligible for scholarship consideration as long as they have received a letter of acceptance from a recognized institution of higher learning. Enrolment in a specific program is not a requirement.
The application process for the Stephen Odzer Scholarship Program is very straightforward. Each year, any student in the United States who has been accepted into a post-secondary institution is free enter themselves into contention by producing proof of enrolment and submitting a thoughtful, five hundred word essay addressing the question: What is the biggest issue facing our society today? A panel of highly-qualified experts then evaluate all the entries and select the twenty respondents judged to be the most deserving of the prize.
'Higher education is a valuable resource for developing new skills and interests,' writes a high-ranking official of the Stephen Odzer Scholarship Program, adding 'it helps prepare students for a successful lifelong career that they are passionate about.' It is in this spirit, with an eye toward a brighter future, that this year's essays were judged and the roster of 2020 winners was chosen. With the aid of the Stephen Odzer Scholarship Program's financial endowment of one thousand dollars, it is hoped that the academic careers and, subsequently, the professional lives of these twenty students will be made slightly easier.
The identities of this year's winning applicants will be published in a forthcoming press release.
