The GMC Sierra 1500 along with the Sierra Heavy Duty to comes with innovative trailering technologies and assistance features to help the growing customer base tow like a pro.
DETROIT, March 2021 - People are evidently getting drawn more towards the trials, the parks, and the outdoors in general now that more of us have more time on our hands than usual. Trucks were always a famous proposition in the States, but the aspect of towing has seen a new rise in the scene. More and more people are towing boats, trailers, campers; people are shifting houses and they would appreciate a machine that makes towing easier. The 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 was already among the more favourable trucks, and now it has stepped up its game by offering some advanced camera-enabled driver-assisted features. The demographic which chose the Sierra Heavy Duty was always into trailing technologies and if the strong suite of features were not enough for them, they are bound to be pleased.
'Trailering is essential for pickup truck customers. More than half of our Sierra customers use their trucks primarily tow equipment for outdoor adventures,' said GMC Marketing Director Rich Latek. 'We continually listen to customer feedback, which tells us they want class-leading safety, technology, and comfort to tow what they need, whether it's a boat, an RV, or a trailer hauling off-road toys.'
It is no surprise that more and more Americans are now embracing the concept of outdoor activities and trailering their stuff behind their trucks. A recent study was done by the RV Industry Association, found that 46 million Americans are planning to take an RV step in the next year. Consequently, RV sales have gone up dramatically and about 90% of those are towable RVs. It seems like these upgrades could not have come at a more appropriate time.
